Savory Waffle – Phase 1

Are you missing bread? Try this savory waffle recipe. Not only is it savory it is filling and easy to make in your waffle maker.

Ingredients

  • I package Ideal Protein Mashed Potatoes
  • 1 egg
  • 1 Tablespoon water
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp curry
  • 1/4 tsp cumin
  • 2 Tablespoons diced red pepper

Instructions

Pre-heat your waffle maker to low. Combine all ingredients and mix until smooth. Press in your waffle maker, will cook quickly 1 – 1:30 minutes. Do not cook too long to avoid drying out.

Serve with homemade vegetable soup.

* You can also use the Ideal Protein Broccoli Soup, omit the spices and red peppers.

Make a batch ahead of time and microwave for 15 seconds to warm up before serving.
